Payment Deadline
Teams that have not paid league fees by the published due date will not receive any points for ties or wins until paid. The team will start receiving points again once league fees have been paid.
PLAYER/COACH REGISTRATION
- The player registration fee is a separate fee. MO clubs/independent teams may choose to register their players and coaches through their own club (cost may differ from above). IL clubs/teams will register their players and coaches through their club account in GotSport but cards will be processed by the league registrar.
- Players need a copy of their official birth certificate (Hospital copies are not acceptable), passport or driver’s license and photo and uploaded to the players GotSport player account.
- MYSA registered coaches will need to complete a background check each seasonal year beginning July 1st, and upload a current SafeSport certificate. Coaches license and Concussion certificates must be uploaded within the coaches GotSport coach account.
- IYSA registered coaches need to complete their background check every other seasonal year. Coaches need to upload a current SafeSport certificate. Coaches license and Concussion certificates must be uploaded within the coaches GotSport coach account.

FORFEIT FEE & new team deposit
Forfeit Fee - Effective 8/1/26
SLYSA is transitioning away from the Forfeit Fee policy. We will no longer collect the initial Forfeit Fee Deposit of $170 from newly registered team. Forfeit fee deposits paid previously will continue to be refundable upon request at this time or up to 18 months after last league play.
Requests for refunds made more than 18 months after last league play will not be honored.
NOTE that teams who forfeit a game will be assessed a fee of $170 the following business day to help SLYSA defray the costs associated with that game.
